More About Jo-Anne Kelleher

You are probably thinking that this is another Sport and High Performance Psychologist who is going to tell you all the qualifications and experience that I have and that I work with everyone who wants sport psychology. That I can work with you for a few sessions to improve your confidence and teach you mental skills and your performance will improve and when I first qualified I thought that too.

I used to want to let everyone know how much experience and qualifications and forgot that the reason I work with aspiring and professional athletes is because I love to educate, motivate and inspire athletes, business owners and students to develop high performance habit that will take them to the next level in their field. You see there is nothing special about me but there is something very special about how I work with high-performers and help them create the success that they are looking for.

In the past, I used to think that I can just charge clients by the hour and that I can teach the mental skills used by sport psychologists and people will continue with their sessions and get great results.

Well here's the thing. It doesn't work like that and here's why. When people book on a week by week basis. 3 things happen:

They either stop the session at the time when things get tough. They know that they need to attend but it's easier to quit!

They have a few sessions and get frustrated because its not working for them quickly enough and they believe that it's not for them so they quit!

They see a great improvement and they think that they have resolved the situation so they quit!

In this era, we live in a world where we want everything instantly and often we are looking for the next quick fix. But let's have a reality check. if you carry on trying to chase the next quick fix or solution to help you improve your mental performance, you are never going to get to the next level in your sport.

Many of my clients come to me as they have told me that they have tried everything but the thing is they hadn't tried me.

What you really need is a new strategy not a new goal, dream or outcome and this is where I come in, I have your back and if you want to be my next success story then read on as the next bit is gold!

People who work with psychologists on a hour by hour basis are less likely to create long term change compared to those who with people like me on a more long term basis. By working closely with any professional, you not only feel supported but you will develop sustainable high performance habits that will give you the skills that you need to create what you dream about, that you deserve because you deserve to get the best possible chance to achieve the goals that you aspire to.

If you think about your coach, do you say to them that you only want a few sessions and then stop for a while and then contact them when things aren't going to plan? No, you know that you need to work with them consistently so that you can gain the skills that you need to perform better and this is the same with mental skills.

But it's not just about learning the mental skills, we also have to work with the part of the brain who doesn't want to change and this takes time to change the habits that have been holding you back

This is why you need to be 10 out of 10 committed to work on your mindset because we know that 90% of all sport performance is mindset and usually explains why you are struggling with the thing that brought you to this page.

I want to ask you a serious question? How is your mindset affecting you right now? Not just in your sport but your life, your relationships, your job?

When we master the inner game of sport then we master other areas of our life and we become more fulfilled.

So many times we focus on the outcome but in order to grow we need to fall in love with the process and not the prize. That is what we will work on together.

So after reading this, how committed are you to making a life long change? If it's 10 out of 10 get in touch and I will gift you a free coaching call. We will be able to a deep dive into what is holding you back and come up with a strategy to move you forward.

Yes it's free but I have a hidden agenda. I want to give you so much value that if it's right and we are aligned with our values then we can take things further.

So what are you waiting for?

Get in touch and make the first step to taking your success to the next level.

If you know anyone who would be a good fit, I’d love you to think of me and put us in touch.

Help with mental block

Overall Rating

My gymnast daughter (12) had been experiencing problems with her back skills for a number of months. She was getting very upset and was considering giving up the sport she loved. She couldn't understand why she just couldn't do something that had come naturally for so long. I contacted Jo for help and the advice she gave was fantastic. She explained what was happening and helped me understand how to best help her through it. 2 months later her back skills have returned and my daughter is a happy gymnast once again!

The final push

Overall Rating

I was lucky enough to come across Jo 6 weeks ago, and truly in the last 6 weeks emotionally and mentally is the best I’ve felt. Jo pushed me to be the best I can be. I’ve been lucky enough to train with some of the best footballers in the world and never understood how they develop the elite mindset they posses, however it came clear to me that working with individuals like Jo truly is the way forward.
Jo’s understanding, knowledge and football awareness was first class and her personality makes life a lot easier when you’re not so sure about yourself at times! Jo truly improved and developed my mindset and I would recommend her to anyone who asks. Knowledgable, understanding and very effective to get me through to final push of a very important season.

Elite Gymnast Mental Block

Overall Rating

Jo is very professional and very approachable, which certainly helps with a nine year old Gymnast.
My daughter is now getting back to doing the skills that she took for granted before the Mental issues took hold.
Very glad we acted quickly.

Giving my son the X factor.

Overall Rating

Since working with Jo my teenage son has become much more aware of his surroundings, focusing on the right things. Dealing with set backs being able to park it and move on has been a real success.
His mindfulness has been a major improvement.
Being the parent of teenager in sport is a challenge and Jo has been a fantastic help with the journey I would thoroughly recommend.
