More About Jessica O'Kelly

Hello, I'm a dedicated Performance Psychologist with a unique background. My journey started in mental health services, where I spent five transformative years honing my skills and understanding the human psyche. This experience has equipped me with a skill set that translates perfectly into sports psychology.

Competitive sports can be a high-pressure environment, such as elevated performance expectations, fear of failure, risk of injury, and intense public and media scrutiny. As an athlete, these pressures can feel like a heavyweight, dragging down your performance and affecting your mental well-being. This is where I come in. I've worked with clients across the spectrum - from those dealing with mental health difficulties to recreational athletes, professional athletes on GB squads, and competitors in national and international leagues. I bring this wealth of experience to our sessions, providing tailored support that addresses your unique needs.

My approach is all about fostering positive, lasting change. I work closely with you to identify the habits that may be holding you back and replace them with adaptive patterns that promote consistent performance and mental resilience. For example, how we respond to setbacks plays a pivotal role in shaping our future actions and overall wellness. Recognizing this, I guide my clients through a transformative process of uncovering their unique triggers and understanding their origins. With this newfound awareness, enables my clients to identify distractions and tackle them head-on instead of being derailed.
