Amanda obtained her CMPC (certified mental performance consultant) in 2016 after completing her masters degree in counseling with a specialization in sport and healthy psychology at Adler University in Chicago, IL. Amanda bring a unique background to consulting as she is also a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) with over 8 years of professional experience. As an ATC, she had an athlete who had suffered a season ending injury that resulted in a difficult time returning to play. It was then that Amanda decided that she could provided more to her athletes by obtaining a CMPC. Amanda blends her knowledge of the physical and mental side of athletes to provide clients with optimal support in obtaining their goals. She specializes with helping athletes mentally get back to their sport they love after sustaining an injury.
Amanda is originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Growing up she was an avid soccer player, playing on a competitive travel team for 8 years. Her other passion was Tae Kwon Do. Thanks to her father owning a martial arts studio, she had the opportunity not only learn the disciplines, but teach students the disciplines as well. Amanda is a big believer that growing up with a martial arts background helped her mentally and physically with other sports her participated in. Today, Amanda continues to enjoy a good kickboxing workout, along with yoga, reading, and of course watching sports!
