I am a Sport & Exercise Psychologist, currently working towards my Chartered Status with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I hold an MSc in Sport & Exercise Psychology from Loughborough University and a PGDip in Psychology from Birkbeck, University of London.
I am a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a registered trainee with the Division of Sport & Exercise Psychology (DSEP). I am also a member of the British Association of Sport & Exercise Science (BASES).
I have worked in a wide range of sports, including Cricket, Hockey, Lawn Bowls and Ultimate, at levels ranging from students to international athletes. I have trained to use counselling techniques including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and rational emotive behavioural therapy (REBT) with performers. My current research examines the transition from youth to elite sport, specifically looking at the impact social support has in helping athletes to cope with this difficult time.
My own sporting background is in Ultimate, which I played for over 10 years. I am also a Level 2 Coach, working in schools, Universities and Clubs.
