Sport Performance Specialist
Glasgow, Scotland
A trainee offering various sport psychology services, for all abilities, including 1-2-1 and team consultations, educational workshops and presentations and embedding sport psychology support into the culture of your club / organisation.
Services that always prioritise the needs of the client. A holistic view to practice, considering the person behind the athlete, placing focus on developing practical, effective working relationships with clients to ensure they feel heard and valued. Overall aim is to create a psychologically safe, collaborative space where presenting issues can be explored on a deeper level and worked through together. In turn, arriving at solutions that work for you.
In the past, I have successfully helped my clients manage performance anxiety, improve emotional control, develop resilience, navigate difficult life transitions and much more. This has been done by adopting an integrative approach, incorporating elements of a humanistic, person - centred approach as well as methods of cognitive - behavioural therapy.
Outside of work I enjoy all things football - playing and (unfortunately at times) supporting. I love to travel and enjoy exploring different countries and cultures where possible. A new passion of mine is podcasts which has been brought around through my involvement as a co - host on The Young Player Wellbeing Podcast - I am always open to recommendations whether academic or casual listening.
