Achieve Your Elite - Becoming Elite Regardless of Circumstances!
I am really missing training camps with The England Amputee Football Association (EAFA), and being out on the field with my clients who play football.I love being outside and watching people striving to achieve their elite, I specifically love that engagement with coaches and athletes during and after training when they are telling me about their experiences and we are finding solutions there and then to optimise performance. However, I am fortunate to still be having these conversations all be it via zoom, telephone call and eforms. I love the openness of athletes who are really striving to find their process for achieving their elite levels of performance. I’ve learned that athletes have different discomfort and comfort thresholds. The key to optimising gameday performance is finding the balance between threat and challenge. Finding that optimal point where you have just the right amount of discomfort and being comfortable with it. This point will change week to week, situation to situation, but with practice you can learn how to recognise, handle and optimise it. You can become an athlete who achieves their elite consistently regardless of the circumstances.
