Sport Performance Specialist
Glasgow, Scotland
My role working within Sport Psychology is to support and educate athletes, coaches, and their wider networks to strive for optimal performance outcomes, whilst developing the mental wellbeing of each individual. Through a client-centred approach I aim to provide athletes/coaches with the self-awareness required to support their sporting demands and wellbeing, where psychological skills are implemented in correlation with their psychological strengths and development needs. Through my practice I ensure the strategies applied can be seamlessly executed in the performance environment.
My experiences have been broad in terms of working with a variety of age groups, sports, and clients, where I have an extensive knowledge of working with clients on the following areas; performance/mental blocks, emotional regulation, performance anxiety, fear of failure, pre-performance routines, and refining and improving focus and motivation. The sports I have worked within include; artistic gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics, swimming, darts, hockey, brazilian jiu jitsu, football and dancing, at Club, Regional, and National levels.
I was previously a National acrobatic gymnast, which not only derived my passion for performance and wellbeing development, but also enhanced my psychological knowledge from the athletes perspective. I have experienced the importance of team dynamics and cohesion, as well as the mental resilience required to perform within heightened pressure environments.
If you have any questions or would like more information on how I can help, please do not hesitate to contact me.
