Dr Josephine Perry

Josie is a chartered sports psychologist who works with those aiming to perform at their best; in sporting challenges, on the stage or in a high pressured career. She has worked across 24 sports from those starting out through to world champions. Josie helps athletes to overcome barriers to their success and teaches them mental conditioning skills to make them more comfortable and confident in their sport. She supports athletes in setting realistic but exciting goals, embracing their fears or anxieties and learning techniques to deal with pressure and self-sabotage so they get to the start of their competition feeling much more confident. Josie also writes about sport psychology. She writes features in magazines like Cycling Weekly, Men’s Fitness and Golf World, has been interviews for national newspapers and news channels and is the author of three books; Performing Under Pressure, The Psychology of Exercise and I Can: The Teenage Athlete’s Guide to Mental Fitness.
